Two ranges of pedestal are available to suit the needs of individual projects as follows:-

"H" RANGE PEDESTALS

This range of pedestals has been designed to meet the PSA MOB PF2PS/SPU:March 1992 Medium and Heavy Grade specification up to 675mm void. They are of all steel construction comprising a 100mm square formed base to which is welded a ¾"BSP tube which is threaded throughout the whole of the interior length. The head is a 90mm diameter disc welded to an extended ¾"BSP domed socket. The pedestal is assembled with a lightweight nut to provide locking. The base plate has been redesigned to virtually eliminate welding distortion.

The range comprises 15 different height pedestals designated from "H0" to "H14" with an adjustment overlap between each height. Pedestals "H4" and above have socket heads which are 95mm in length giving a generous adjustment of 75mm, whilst the lower height pedestals have gradually decreasing socket length to maximise their restricted adjustment range. A version of the "H0" can be produced in line with individual requirements down to a pedestal height of 20mm, although at this height, the adjustment range is very limited.

Because of its’ internally threaded tube, this pedestal lends itself to shortening on site simply by reducing the length of the base tube and re-assembling should fitters come across unexpected variations in sub-floor level. In the case of sites where site surveys are not possible all the pedestals can be supplied long to enable them to be modified to exactly the right size as they are installed.

"X" RANGE PEDESTALS

Where extra rigidity or greater height of void is required we would recommend this range of pedestal which is a 1"BSP version of the "H" range pedestal. This is tested to PSA MOB PF2 PS/SPU :March 1992 Specification Heavy Grade to a height of 1,500mm. An angle head is also available for this range where floor ramps are required.

ADDITIONAL SUB-STRUCTURE ACCESSORIES

STRINGERS

All pedestals can be supplied with slotted heads to take hook on stringers. They can be screwed down if required by drilling the head to take a self tapping screw.

PLASTIC PEDESTAL CAPS

We can also supply conductive full face plastic pedestal caps in either 2 or 4 way design. They can come in a cut-away style when stringers are to be fitted.
